Christine Emmer: Skitrip in LAAX

Jen and I took the train to Laax in Graubunden on Friday after work for a weekend ski trip in the Alps. Jen’s boyfriend, Haggi, works at the LAAX ski resort (where they hold the European open!) and let us stay with him and his brother for the weekend. A big huge whopping danke to them for not only the place to stay, but also for the much-needed ski helmets and socks!  Skiing was very beautiful and mildly terrifying. Weirdest thing, skiing in the Alps is harder than skiing in Michigan. Who would have guessed?
